A warm welcome to the Taunton Preparatory School website. I hope these pages will give you the information you require about our wonderful school whether you are already part of our community, a prospective parent or just a curious browser.

At Taunton Preparatory School we aim to inspire every child to develop into a confident, well educated, personable young adult who has enthusiasm for learning. We aim to nurture individual talents and an enquiring mind. We place a strong emphasis on English, Mathematics and Science, whilst offering a broad and balanced curriculum. We also encourage children to show a special interest in the environment and to enjoy a wide variety of Sports and Arts.

The school is a caring society, based on Christian values. Each child is made to feel valued and all young Tauntonians are encouraged to develop a positive approach to the daily challenges of life, enabling them to seize every opportunity......and have fun!

In March 2011, we were visited by a team from ISI (the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate). Please download the Taunton Preparatory Independent Schools' Inspectorate Report 2011. I was delighted that the team evidenced the quality of all that we provide for the children in our care. Their comment that we offer “an outstanding educational experience” to our pupils gives me and the whole community great satisfaction. I believe that they are absolutely right in their judgement.
